"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

-Winston Churchill

Behavior Management Systems' Board of Directors established an Endowment Fund in 1998 to help make sure we are able to offer needed community services. As State and Federal funds for services fluctuate we want to stablize our ability to offer core services to help build positive change in our community.

Behavior Management was the recipient of a $500 grant from the Black Hills Area Community Foundation. Presenting the check to Alan Solano, CEO for Behavior Management Systems is Haven Stuck, Chairman of Board for Black Hills Community Foundation. BHACF is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization started in 1987 to serve both donors and nonprofit agencies throughout the Black Hills. BHACF manages and administers charitable funds for individuals, families, businesses and nonprofit organizations. Because of their commitment, BHACF awards hundreds of grants that have a positive impact on the quality of life in the Black Hills area. Thank you sincerely to BHACF for building positive change in our communities. Visit their website at www.giveblackhills.org. to see the good they are accomplishing.

All money contributed to the Endowment Fund invested to assure future growth to allow us to develop new programs or suport existing programs for our primary service areas: children with serious emotional or behavioral problems, adults with major mental illness, suicide interevention and crisis stabilization, and pregnant women or women with small children who have a substance abuse problem.

Gifts to the Endowment Fund are placed into an unrestricted fund, unless restricted by the donor. Donor's may designate their gifts to certain programs or facility develpment based on their wishes. The Board of Directors of Behavior Management Systems will review the unrestricted funds on a regular basis to determine the need for the use of funds.
